Giving Back
Like many of us, we have felt helpless & distressed by the unprecedented 2022 Eastern Australia floods. The floods are predicted to be one of the most devastating natural disasters in Australia’s history. At least 50,000 homes in the northern rivers area have been damaged by floodwaters & more than a million people have been impacted.
From the moment we heard about the crisis, our Nana Huchy family wanted to help in any way we could. We were grateful an opportunity arose after Kido Store, one of our NSW stockists, reached out to us.
After some careful thought about what might be best to contribute, we decided to donate something practical that would provide flood-affected children with a gentle place to rest their heads as well as the comfort & companionship of a feather-soft animal friend.
We were humbled to be in a position to donate more than 200 Hippo Travel Comfort Pillows (valued at $7800) to the wonderful charity organisation Thread Together, who have ensured that these precious hippo friends of ours made their way into the right little hands.
